Holy Void is a psychedelic pentad from the frostbound nidus of Winnipeg. Since forming in 2014, the band has pulled heavy psych into darker and stranger territory, drawing on gothic rock, shoegaze, and experimental string arrangements. The name sets the tone: Holy Void, empty of the sacred.
Across two full-length albums and two EPs, the band has continued to expand its sound, with electric violin becoming part of its arrangements in 2019. Over the past two years, Holy Void has performed across Canada, Germany, the United States, and Mexico, with appearances at Reeperbahn Festival, SXSW, New Colossus Festival, Sled Island, and Ness Creek Music Festival. Holy Void will appear at Second Summer and Woodstove Music & Arts Festival in 2026 and is preparing to release its third full-length album later this year.
